Academic Mindsets
Challenging yourself and wanting to learn is an example of a growth mindset. Not willing to improve upon your skills supports the idea of having a fixed mindset. When growth mindset is used it’s beneficial says Carol Dweck because, students in school will have a better work either and will do well inside/outside of school. On the other hand, Alfie Kohn thought the opposite because that mindset does not have a chance to be properly used when the school system is flawed, which sets students up for failure.
